How does it work?

The NDFF collects, systematizes and validates natural data in the Netherlands. This data represents our knowledge about the occurrence of a certain plant or animal species in a certain area. All observations that are included in the NDFF are validated. Only approved observations are accessible to NDFF users. You can access observations in various ways:

• A subscription entitles you to unlimited access to validated NDFF data via the Export Portal.
• If you do not have a subscription, you can request an individual data delivery from the NDFF.
• If you use data for educational purposes or academic research, you may, on some conditions, access all NDFF data.
• Our research products are based on NDFF data.
